- Me: Say I'm walking North at about.. erhm... three feet per second. I'm slow. And you're walking South at maybe five/six feet per second because your legs are legitimately three feet long because you're a giant. You are 500 feet due east of me. What I'm doing in my Calculus class is trying find the 'rate of change' of the distance between you and I at a specific moment in time, especially the further and further we get apart. Sound cool?
